1.5x2 Antique Sampler German Sarouk Square Rug Mat

:: Fully reconciled small sampler mat showcasing detailed germinating flowers in bouquets in each corner. Wrapped by triple narrow banded borders. Gem-like shades throughout with exquisite abrashes and stretches, namely those found in the powder blue to sapphire blue shades. Colors and shades include: Ruby red, sapphire blue, powder blue, navy blue, pale coffee brown, sand, beige, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Carpet has light reduction to both ends finished with a hand macrame and a fabric stitched to the back in a reversible manner. Most all wear confined to the first inch on both sides of the rug. Photographs were taken pre-luster shampoo wash. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian German Sarouk square rug mat made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 1'9" x 1'10".
