10x11.5 Antique Kerman Carpet

:: Oversize scalloped center medallion with scrolling arabesques adorned at either end by trefoil finials atop a covered floral main field comprised of interconnected vines, buds, and blossoms. Corner spandrel overlays reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Top center border is a signature cartouche with a washed out faded workshop signature. Colors and shades include: Cochineal red, ivory, beige, navy blue, cobalt blue, sky blue, pale saffron yellow, pale coffee brown, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 9'8" whereas the opposing measures 9'10". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Shades have possibly been washed down at some point. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
