11.5x13.5 Vintage Oushak Carpet

:: An Oushak carpet from the early second quarter of the 20th century shows a deep red field filled with a rhythmic row of large stylized geometric medallions linked in pairs, flanked above and below by a matching band of angular motifs. The broad border is built in layered bands with repeating small rosettes and geometric accents, framed by a narrow guard. The overall composition is symmetrical and densely patterned in columned form. Colors and shades include: Bright cherry red, gold, sand, seafoam green, and more Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple areas of professional re-pile. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
