2.5x4 Vintage Lilihan Rug
Print tear sheet:: Covered field of intricate vines, blossoms, scrolled serrated leaves, floral sprays and budded tendrils. Several scattered boteh buds, with a main border in a meandering vine minor flower top view design motif. A few more unusual shades found scattered therein, namely the golden shaded border, and copper colored leaves. Colors and shades include: Raspberry red, sapphire blue, sky blue, ivory, gold, powder blue and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Period corrected painted rug. White knots scattered across the main field. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Lilihan rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 2'5" x 3'11".
