:: Scalloped center medallion with trefoil contoured finials atop a covered field of floral blossoms. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Main border in a pinwheel vine design motif with minor finned detailing, often attributed to Josan influenced weavings. Inner and outer minor border in an interconnected seed design motif. Soft, high luster, wool pile. Colors and shades include: Dark navy blue, brick red, ivory, beige, blush, powder blue, dark pomegranate red, platinum, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides, mostly secure ends. Some areas of loose securing to the original plain weave on one end. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Josan Sarouk rug mat made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 2'2" x 2'9".
