3.5x5 Vintage Karaja Rug

:: Triple center medallion with central rectilinear square outline with opposing end medallions in mirrored hexagonal contour enveloped in hook and latch design motif atop a covered field of serpents, floral top views, and halved medallion overlays around the perimeter reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Main border in a lightning blossom and starburst floral design rendering. Colors and shades include: Madder root red, deep sapphire blue, coffee brown, chestnut brown ,ivory, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even short pile across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Minor partial reduction to both ends into the outer minor border. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Karaja rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 3'4" x 4'11".
