:: Allover covered field of large scale palmettes and serrated leaves with scrolled contour. Inner and outer minor border in a serpent design rendering with main border in a simplistic floral cross view and interconnected arabesque design motif. Lots of deep, rich shades throughout! Colors and shades include: Navy blue, burgundy wine red, pomegranate red, mallard green, vibrant rose, sapphire blue, ivory and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile and knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Approximately three rows reduced from both ends. A period correct painted rug with deeper burgundy tones among others likely augmented upon original import. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mehreban rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 3'6" x 6'5".
