Vintage Distressed Anatolian Rug Product Description and Details

:: Center medallion with sprawling scrolled serrated leaves stemming from the center of the rug expanding beyond the bounds of the roundel main medallion also adorned by minor tiered finials atop a heavily abrashed ground. Corner spandrel overlays in inverted coloration to that of the main medallion and quarter map relief. Wide banded main border in great tone-on0-tone shading with pops of the bold pomegranate red shades. Colors and shades include: Pomegranate red, antique ivory, cream, dusty saffron yellow, aubergine, chocolate brown, coffee brown, silver, dusty mauve, beige, sand, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple areas of expert repile. Some localized areas along edges exhibiting slight stiffness. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Anatolian rug made in Turkey circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 3'5" x 6'1".
