3x4.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Rug

:: Oversize center medallion with staggered quatrefoil outwardly directed palmettes and serrated leaves adorned at either end by minor finials atop a heavily abrashed ground. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Colors and shades include: Faded raspberry red, ivory, platinum, pale saffron yellow, faded powder blue and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple repairs in varying degrees of expertise. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak rug made in Turkey circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 2'11" x 4'5".
