3x4.5 Vintage Josan Sarouk Rug

:: Oversized center medallion with diamond shaped multi-tiered finials atop a covered field of germinating plants and blossoms interconnected by geometric vinery. Corner spandrel overlays inwardly directed with minor palmettes. Main border in a meandering vine blossoms design motif. Colors and shades include: Dark navy blue, madder root red, dusty rose, blush, brick red, dusty sapphire blue, powder blue, beige, sand, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with hard isolated areas of foundation showing through. Secure sides, fully secured ends. One or two areas of isolated oxidation and tinting found in one corner of the rug. Rug is missing rows to both ends. Multiple thread bare areas to the sides of the rug. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Josan Sarouk rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 3' x 4'4".
