3x4.5 Vintage Karaja Rug

:: Classic Karaja with mirrored outer medallions in rectangular quatrefoil design relief and interior slightly asymmetric weighted inner serrated leaf guls with interior main encompassed by a hook and latch and rams horn stylized relief. Main field in covered blossoms and pinwheel floral design elements in tiered polychrome leaves, wrapped by a colorful main border of double meandering vine, floral top views in lightning serrated contour and Samovar Turtle renderings. Colors and shades include: Brick red, navy blue, sky blue, dusty emerald green, powder blue, jade green, ivory, gold, blush and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Remnants minor adhesive from since removed faux fringe found on the reverse size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Karaja rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 3'1" x 4'7".
