:: Diamond shaped center medallion with mirroring stemmed finials enveloped by detailed contrasting serrated contour. Medallion and field filled with geometric vinery in angular scrolling formation, finished by floral blossoms. Corner spandrels mimicking in part the contour of the main medallion with top corner overlays featuring bird figures. Classic Josan Sarouk meandering main border. Colors and shades include: Navy blue, indigo blue, grapefruit red, wine red, sky blue, mallard green, teal, oxidized copper green, gold, blush, madder root red, and more. Condition notes: Hard area of wear closer to one end, showing exposed foundation. Mostly even wear otherwise to knot heads, with light isolated areas of foundation showing through. Secure sides, one secure end, other end shows tatter and wear. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Josan Sarouk rug made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 4'6" x 7'7".
