Vintage Distressed Malayer Rug Product Description and Details

:: Single column diamond shaped center medallions in quatrefoil diamond fills bearing geometric guls, entirely enveloped by a hook and latch motif. Ground shade in an abrashed blue, with intricate minor geometric concentric diamond shaped design elements in the main border. Colors and shades include: Sky blue, sapphire blue, pomegranate red, madder root red, ivory, silver, beige, blush, pink and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 3'10" whereas the opposing measures 4'4". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 4'4" x 7'5".
