4x4.5 Vintage Distressed Fragment Malayer Square Rug

:: Allover covered field in a Mina Kahni design motif featuring lattice oriented roundel floral top views and interior minor blossoms with a central pomegranate design. Meandering vine minor borders. Colors and shades include: Dusty teal, dusty sky blue, dusty sapphire blue, madder root red, antique ivory, silver, beige, oxidized silver, pale dusty green gold, and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Carpet is exhibiting white knots scattered across the main field. At some point in its past this carpet had been professionally reduced from its original size and length, likely in longer proportions as the end border on the reverse side of the carpet shows interior reduction and concealed inseaming and adhesive. The work is quite convincing on the face of the carpet. This rug is wider than it is long, and sizes have been inverted from our normal convention to ensure presence in our size range search filter. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer square rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage.
