4x6 Vintage Distressed Melas Rug

:: Main field in a reciprocating dragon inspired design motif, wrapped by a field overlay in geometric germinating plants and arrowed buds. Meandering vine and minor blossom inner and outer minor border. Colors and shades include: Beige, sand, aubergine, antique ivory, pale blush, gold, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Outer end minor borders professionally reduced and a few small hole prone areas scattered throughout, some on the edge by the selvage. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Melas rug made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 4' x 6'.
