:: Bold and powerful antique Northwest Hamadan region Persian rug. Some design elements hint at Heriz style carpets, such as the medallion which is large and rectilinear in drawing. Numerous splayed cross sections of palmettes and lotus flowers set atop a rich rose field and dramatic contrast of a deep dark indigo blue all complimented with a lovely sky blue border. Bronzes, sand and madder root red throughout. With fine and intricate detail and whimsical character, this carpet will sure to be a joy to decorate with! Many years of enjoyment to come! Recently professionally cleaned, ready for in-home use! Size measures approximately 4' x 5'10".
