5.5x10.5 Vintage Distressed Oushak Carpet

:: Double geometric center medallion with asymmetric weight and stepped relief each bearing germinating plant and starburst design motif stemmed from rams horn stylized leaves, adorned at either end by stepped layered serrated floral blossom finials atop an open field. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion, while the main border bears colorful starburst and geometric floral renderings of bouquets and blossoms. Colors and shades include: Dusty cherry red, pale saffron yellow, turquoise, faded royal blue, aubergine and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
