5x11.5 Antique Halvai Bijar Rug Runner

:: Elongated center medallion with stepped contour adorned at either end by large scale palmettes atop an open abrashed field with corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, ruby red grapefruit, sky blue, aubergine, saffron yellow, oxidized copper green, copper brown, burgundy, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Mostly secure sides and ends. Several areas of patches and repairs in varying degrees of expertise including one signature panel in the main field which is rewoven and approximately 8" x 8". Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Halvai Bijar rug runner made in Persia circa 1890's vintage.
