:: Single center medallion with ram's horn and hook and latch enveloped detailing adorned at either side by additional end medallions in classic quatrefoil square outline contour, Karaja style. Main field covered in geometric blossoms, serrated leaves, floral clusters, buds, and more. Inner and outer minor borders in a repeating interconnected boteh design motif. Colors and shades include: Sand, beige, pale coffee brown, dusty ocean green, sky blue, dark chocolate brown, powder blue, cream, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Karaja rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage.
