:: Allover covered field in a Herati design motif with trefoil inwardly directed corner spandrel overlays bearing minor arabesques, vines, and blossoms. Wrapped by a turtle Samovar main border. Colors and shades include: Sky blue, dusty blush, ivory, dusty mauve, faded cochineal red, sapphire blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile height across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Hard isolated oxidation to the upper two thirds of the rug. One end measures 4'9", within normal margins for the type and age. Three to four areas of minor old moth etching to knot heads, each approximately equal to or smaller than a US quarter. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Malayer rug made in Persia circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 5'2" x 6'10".
