:: Unusual oversize center medallion with double star interior design motif bearing scalloped contour atop a covered field of delicate vines, blossoms and palmettes. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion and finials, while the main border feature dramatic contrasting arabesques with dragon stylized design contour and serrated leaf interior detailing. Colors and shades include: Faded brick red, pale dusty mauve, sand, dark chocolate brown, terra cotta, pale burnt orange, pale tangerine orange, pale lavender, aubergine and more. Condition notes: Even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Kayseri carpet made in Turkey circa 1950's vintage. Size measures 6'6" x 9'7".
