Antique Caucasian Soumac Carpet Product Description and Details
:: Triple center medallion with interior pomegranate-like floral top view atop a covered field of minor lightning serrated blossoms, palmettes, botehs and floral roundel medallions in a wide range of shades. Main border in a shifting mountainous meandering vine design motif and outer minor border in a classic reciprocating wave motif. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, sapphire blue, blush, pale rose, sky blue, seafoam green, ivory and more. Condition notes: Weave across in mostly original condition. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Ideally suited for a lower traffic area deeper inside the home. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand woven Caucasian Soumac carpet made in the Caucasus region circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 6'1" x 7'8".
