:: Serapi carpet with concentric main medallion in slightly asymmetric contour with weaver nuances / artistic merit found throughout. A plethora of colors and shades, with playful yet bold character in addition to excellent mapping and lovely abrashes. Every time you look at it you will find a new detail! Colors and shades include: Madder root red rust, sky blue, ocean blue, oxidized copper green, blush, ivory, beige, sand, wine red and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint areas of foundation showing through in addition to isolated foundation showing through. Professionally reduced in size to the perimeter, yielding a fragmented, although fully secured carpet. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Serapi carpet made in Persia circa 1895-1910 vintage. Size measures 7'7" x 10'5".
