7.5x11.5 Vintage Oushak Carpet

:: Center medallion with interior floral bouquet adorned at either end by a germinating plant finials atop a heavily abrashed ground and corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocating the contour of the main medallion. Colors and shades include: Black cherry red, pomegranate red, pale cochineal red, cobalt blue, ivory, silver, beige, blush, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end along with regions within the field and borders professionally restored with touchups to the ground. Expert restoration found throughout and to at least one end. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Oushak carpet made in Turkey circa 1940's vintage. Size measures 7'4" x 11'4".
