7x10.5 Vintage Distressed Veece Carpet

:: A Veece rug from the late second quarter of the 20th century shows a large central medallion set within a richly patterned field of angular geometric motifs in red and blue. The medallion is framed by stepped guards and flanked by paired diamond medallions, with a broad border of repeating stylized palmettes and rosettes. The overall composition balances bold geometry with a soft, faded palette across the main field and border. Colors and shades include: Melon red, dusty sapphire blue, ivory, powder blue, ivory, platinum, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with faint foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Light reduction to both ends. A few localized areas of repairs in varying degrees of expertise scattered throughout. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
