8.5x11.5 Antique Heriz Carpet

:: Late Serapi / early Heriz area carpet, featuring quatrefoil concentric center medallions in geometric contour. Adorned at either end by very large scale palmettes atop a covered field of rectilinear vinery, splayed floral cross-sections, and blossoms throughout. Excellent and hard to find coloration bearing contrast and subdued features in the corner spandrel shadings. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, powder blue, navy blue, blush, mallard green, and more. Condition notes: Wear across to knot heads and foundation. Recently professionally serviced to the interior, with fully restored ends and side cord selvages in  poly-chrome alternating coloration, with shades matching the interior. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 8'7" x 11'4".
