:: Starburst concentric center medallion with interior pomegranate stylized roundel minor medallion adorned at either end by arrowed finials atop a covered field of scrolling vines and minor buds, blossoms and floral bells / arabesques. Abrashes across. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion. Main border in an oversize floral palmette and serrated leaf, almost Mahi-like Herati design rendering. Colors and shades include: Ivory, beige, cream, sand, powder blue, sky blue, ocean green, platinum, beige, pale coffee brown and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with hard isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Ahar carpet made in Persia circa 1950's vintage.
