Vintage Distressed Kars Carpet Product Description and Details

:: Immensely oversized center medallion in starburst contour with outwardly directed palmettes and germinating plants atop a covered field of blossoms and floral cross-sections. Main border in a meandering arabesque and floral cross-section motif. Colors and shades include: Ivory, pale coffee brown, beige, sand, platinum, oxidized silver, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even short pile across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. One end measures 8'1" whereas the opposing measures 8'4". This variation is within normal margins for hand knotted rugs of this type, age, and size. For processing purposes, this and other rugs of the type may have painted numbers on the reverse side. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Turkish Kars carpet made in Turkey circa 1970's vintage. Size measures 8'4" x 10'9".
