8x10.5 Vintage Heriz Carpet

:: Classic Heriz area geometric oversized center medallion with quatrefoil orientation and decorative end finials in an oversized serrated palmette design. Excellent balance between positive and neutral spacing. A plethora of colors in addition to slightly unusual "lighter" tones polychrome side cord selvage. Traditionally the multi-colored side cord selvages in Heriz carpets feature the richer deeper colors, such as navy blues, reds, charcoal, browns. Colors and shades include: Cherry red, navy blue, sky blue, mallard green, blush, rose, oxidized copper green, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile across with recess to knot heads and light areas of foundation showing through. Original side cord selvages fully intact in polychrome shades. Fully secured ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet made in Persia circa 1930's vintage. Size measures 8' x 10'4".
