:: Fantastic execution of design featuring an off center, elaborately woven, center medallion with decidedly asymmetric character, off center within the main field. Half the carpet features a similar yet more condensed relief than the other half, replete with dramatic and expressive botehs, budding flowers, delicate vinery, cloud bands, vases, and more. Excellent abrashes throughout, namely those in the blue family carrying stretches from powder to sky to rich sapphire indigo blue. Carpet bares a signature cartouche at either end of the field. Colors and shades include: Raspberry, blush, black cherry red, ivory, wine red, and more. Condition notes: Areas of pile mixed with recessed areas of foundation showing through and professional restrung foundation in minor local areas. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian fine Lilihan carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
