:: Diamond shaped center medallion with outwardly directed floral blossoms atop a covered field in elaborate and colorful scrolling leaves, floral cross-sections, buds, and blossoms. Main border in a Herati stylized design motif, bearing great detail in the shrimp like serrated leaves. Wide range in color for the type and unusual design for the age and weaving region. Colors and shades include: Brick red, sapphire blue, blush, saffron yellow, emerald green, gold, coffee brown, wine red, rose, sky blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Mahal carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
