:: This is a stunning vintage 1920's Persian rug of the Isfahan region. It stands out to be quite the bold + funky piece with its main color being a deep, saturated purple. Quite the fine piece with exceptionally tight knotting and an amazing medallion with covered field design. Very intricately woven, and has lived through its 90 years of life quite beautifully! You just don't see many of these -- it is a true gem. This rug is made from very choice of wool pile (Qurk wool), making it not only a visual art-piece for the floor, but soft, supple and very durable as well. It is a very healthy rug with a fantastic aesthetic; powerful, bold and energizing. It has recently had its ends overcast + has been professionally cleaned. Very little wear on the carpet but as an important conditional note, there are a couple of black spots (each about a quarter size) on the rug -- just let us know if you would like to see photographs. These are very hard to detect unless on hands and knees. Such a beauty that has a modern feel while being a stunning piece of rug history, this carpet measures in at the perfect area rug size of 4'8 x 7'3".
