7x13.5 Antique Art Deco Carpet

:: Finely woven, super soft, silk-like, high luster wool pile as an early example of an Art Deco Nichols style carpet bearing a field in pictorial view of sprawling expressive cherry blossomed trees, a small hut, fruit bearing plants, butterflies, and cloud band stylized design elements at each opposing corner of the main border. Colors and shades include: Aubergine, cobalt blue, sky blue, oxidized silver, beige, pale coffee brown, dusty rose, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even pile height across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Areas of repile in varying levels of expertise. A few areas of minor tinting and oxidation, as seen in photos. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Chinese Art Deco carpet made in China circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 7'1" x 13'6".
