Print tear sheet

:: Rare large size and unusual square tribal carpet. We are unsure of specific attribution, as technical characteristics appear akin to those of Afshari / Persian weavings. However, many of the colors and shades, including other shared technical characteristics, appear more closely aligned to carpets emanating from the Amu Darya region. Possible migratory weaver. Additionally unique, aside from size and proportion, are the exaggerated and oversized paisley boteh adorning the field. Colors and shades include: Madder root red, pale terra cotta rust, sky blue, navy blue, mallard green, charcoal brown, and more. Condition notes: Hard even distress across. Mostly secure sides with hard tatter to ends and kilim. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Afshar carpet made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Exact size measures 7'x2" x 8'x2".
