:: Truly stunning and beautiful antique Persian Kurdish Bidjar or Bijar rug in the area rug size of 3'10" x 6'2", vintage circa 1910. Has a fun tribal Herati design allover in the center field with alternating main colors (due to slight oxidation of the dark colors + assumed synthetic dyes used) of pinkish red and brown. Scrolling arabesques in border, which is an unusual motif for a village weave. Dense construction, very well-made, with everything intact including the original plain weave. Very sweet shabby kind of a rug with a perfect mix of fade and even wear, while being in wonderful condition for its type. This carpet is being sold in as-is used vintage condition and could benefit from a cleaning sometime down the road.
