7x10 Antique Heriz Carpet

:: Concentric center medallions in rectangular and diamond shaped format with central floral gul. Adorned at either end by contrasting floral palmettes atop a covered field of geometric vines with end field overlays bearing serrated leaves and checkered detailing. Main border in a Turtle Samovar and double interconnecting vine design motif. Colors and shades include: Brick red, navy blue, sapphire blue, mallard green, jade green, beige, sand, antique ivory, powder blue, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Moderate to heavy moth etching on the reverse side localized to the perimeter as well as an area on the face, approximately 6" x 6". Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Heriz carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage. Size measures 6'10" x 9'9".
